I AM RESTORED

I was born into a Christian household, but my path through faith has been anything but linear. When I was just five years old, my mother passed away, and in the wake of that loss, my father shifted from our Christian roots to the Catholic tradition. Much of my upbringing was influenced by Catholic practices, yet I always looked up to my oldest brother, who held firmly to his Christian faith. A part of me often wished I had done the same.

As I entered adulthood, I wasn’t particularly religious, and I rarely opened the Bible, but I never stopped believing in God. Deep down, I knew I was missing a meaningful spiritual connection. That longing led me to explore different spiritual paths—some of which felt right in the moment, but ultimately left me feeling incomplete. In time, I recognized that these paths, however sincere, were a detour from the Christian foundation that had once been planted in me.

My spiritual realignment began when I met and married the love of my life. Her strong relationship with Jesus stirred something in me—it quietly drew me closer to Him and reminded me of the truth I had long buried. That was the spark, but the true transformation came when my life was shaken by a cancer diagnosis. In the face of fear and uncertainty, I found myself surrendering completely, and I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior without hesitation or condition.

Today, as a husband, a father of three, and a cancer survivor, I walk a renewed path of faith. I’m growing in my relationship with Jesus every day, committed to following Him more closely and trusting in His purpose for my life. Looking back, I can see God’s hand through every season—even in the moments I felt farthest from Him. He never failed me. He was always guiding me home.
